Baker Arts Festival

The Baker Arts Festival is scheduled in spring, in the Heritage Park. The festival will showcase all types of arts and crafts as well as fine art and performance art.

Family Heritage Wall of Honor

The Wall of Honor recognizes unsung individuals of Okaloosa County. These individuals have been nominated by family or friends for their positive effect on their family and community, and/or their contributions to the history, formation and continued well-being of our county.

Baker Heritage Day

Baker's Heritage Day Festival is scheduled for Nov. 16, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Heritage Park.

The festival features pioneer demonstrations, arts & crafts, music and food, and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Heritage Park.

3rd Saturday

at the Baker  Block Museum

The Baker Block Museum is open every 3rd Saturday from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Special presentations and events are scheduled at this time.

The Museum is closed the 3rd Saturday in December.

About us

 

The Baker Block Museum is a local history museum and genealogy library located in Baker, Florida, focused on the history of the northwest Florida panhandle with emphasis on Okaloosa County.

Exhibits include antiques, tools, period displays and a heritage park representing Florida pioneering life at the turn of the 20th century.

The Museum opened to the public in July 1996 and is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2021. The museum building, built in 1907, was once the heart of the thriving Baker community as a general mercantile store, among other things.

The genealogy/research library has a vast collection of family histories, films and books on the local, county and regional area, as well as subscriptions to various online genealogy research sites that are free to researchers.

The Baker Block Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of the North Okaloosa Historical Association, Inc., and is managed by the Board of Directors
